#cas is the closest thing she has now to her biological family#and she asks dean-a man she hate(d)- a man her actual dad hated- to look after cas#it’s not that she doesn’t know that cas is a cosmic being#probably stronger than sam dean and claire combined#but it’s a- i trust you to take care of my parent#the weight of it. fuck i can only imagine#it’s the recognition of whatever dean and cas have between them.#it’s one pair of queer eyes recognizing another twin sets#it’s the family seal of approval.#it’s like. i haven’t talked to my dad in yEARS but i do love him and he’s found this new person and they’re going strong and#idk how i feel about them i think i lowkey hate them but then i actually spend time w them and it’s like liberation#its relief and its not the verification of my worst fears this person is actually nice and they love my dad back so i HAVE to let them know#i have to infact thank them. and then warn them. but i want the best of them. i want them to take care of each other bc i am not there.#idk man i can’t really put it in words but it is about extremely messed up family semantics and queer approval and smth else#but boy is it heavy!
