Some things we learn from experience.

This gave me chills because not only will this love eventually be spoken by Castiel himself – this love has been written with the intention of being understood for years now. Misha, in this scene, is acting with the full understanding that Castiel is in love with Dean. His devotion to Dean became the drive of this character, the root of his growth and motivation, and it always was this way.
